3 Quick Tips to Comfort Itchy Skin This Fall
Plus: Create a family emergency binder, how one mom found her voice in motherhood, and big things happening in our community
🫶 Hello from Our Chief Mom Officer
Fall officially starts in two weeks. While I don’t love the shorter days, I’m here for the cooler weather and my daily uniform of black leggings, oversized tees, and denim button-ups. I just realized, as I typed that, that I am 100% my mother.
A couple weeks ago, we took the kids to the Descendants/Zombies Worlds Collide Tour in my college town. The concert was amazing. I wish I could say the kids were equally impressed by the campus tour I dragged them on the next day.
We went apple picking today and somehow ended up with 30 lbs of apples. I guess I’m entering my apple-baking-and-canning-era. If you have any good recipes, please hit reply and share.
Take care of yourselves and one another. ❤️
XO, Randee
🍂 Tips for Happy Skin This Fall
National Eczema Week (September 14 -21) is a perfect reminder to make sure skin care is part of your family’s fall routine. Cooler weather can trigger eczema flares, so here are some quick tips to keep little ones comfortable.
Keep baths to 10–15 minutes. Long soaks can dry out sensitive skin.
Lock in moisture. Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer right after bath time.
Be flare-ready. Keep Ocean Olive’s Whipped Gel on hand for fast, gentle relief from itchy patches. It’s a natural alternative to topical steroids, created by a mom and allergy-specialist PA-C.
🎙️ From Isolation to Inspiration
As moms, we often put ourselves last. But Gabi Garland’s story is a reminder that what we do and what we say matters. In fact, your voice has the power to create connection, healing, and even new opportunities. Maybe it’s time to take that leap for yourself.
